About Hero Blue

Hero Blue was bred by Waaij Stud and showed extraordinary talent from an early age. Ridden by Biba McCaul, he achieved outstanding results in the young horse classes at both national and international level. In the KWPN Stallion Competition, he was the only stallion of his crop to jump clear in every round, consistently finishing on the podium. At just five years old, he competed at the FEI World Championships in Lanaken.
At seven — on the verge of his international breakthrough — Hero Blue passed away unexpectedly. A tremendous loss for the sport.
Through frozen semen, Hero Blue remains available for breeding. His oldest offspring show great promise; Waaij Stud's own Here I Am WS is considered one of the most exciting five-year-olds in the stable and appears destined for a fine international career. Hero Blue passes on blood, attitude, an exceptional canter and tremendous scope.
